The pump is controlled by a float/switch mechanism, which turns on the pump when approximately 1-inch of water collects in its tank and turns off the pump when the water in the tank drains to approximately 1/2-inch. The unit includes an ABS tank, motor cover, and volute. The shaft is made from a strong stainless steel, which protects against water damage.
